Last year, we stumbled into a campground that was celebrating Halloween in a big way. Even though it was early October, Tannenhill Ironworks was packed with campers and decorated to the hilt. We thought this was an isolated incidence but have discovered that many campgrounds celebrate throughout October. Whether it is Halloween or called Fall Festival, it creates festive evening walks and a friendly campground.
The Holidays campground in Virginia Beach was festive and included weekend activities such as concerts, trick or treating and scavenger hunts.
We also found a lot of festive decor in Linwood, North Carolina where weekend campers came in for the decoration contest and trick-or-treating and farmers markets were chock full of pumpkins.
And in Gatlinburg, TN, they have set a new Guiness World Record for the most scarecrows displayed – more than 3,000.
No matter where or how you are spending it, we hope your October was as spooky and fun as you hoped!
